When you hear the term “Healthcare” images of hospitals or medical clinics, doctors, nurses, and medicine probably come to mind. What if you changed this perception to an understanding of what you do every day to keep your body and mind healthy?
We’ve heard for years about this "Healthcare crisis" but what we really have is a "Selfcare crisis." If we took better care of ourselves, we would not spend as much time at the doctors' office. Health does not take monumental, Olympic-size feats to achieve. It simply takes small actions done daily.
You may be thinking, "I can do this on my own." If that option was successful, we all would be in a better state of health. So, why do you continue on the same path and keep talking about all the things you need to do, but don't take action?
This has been my challenge as a coach. How do I help clients take actions that they know will increase their health but choose not to? The answer is different for everyone. A coach can help you sift through all the “stuff” and guide you to take that first step. It is possible without breaking the bank!
There are no magic series of exercises or combinations of food that will improve your health. The difference starts inside you.
Coaching can help get you in the direction of making the changes you need to make, but keep avoiding. The process influences the desire to change your perspective from focusing on Healthcare to focusing on your Selfcare.
