Meet Coach Kim
Over 30 Years of Experience
My movement journey began at a small fitness center in Troy, Ohio. After high school, I started taking classes when I noticed that my clothes were fitting a little too tightly. Six years into my Air Force career, I found myself taking college classes and doing fitness classes daily. I became such a regular at the local fitness center that I was teaching group fitness classes before long. I got my AFAA certification in 1990, and I've maintained various fitness certifications ever since.
In addition to fitness training, I became fascinated with how food choices affect health. I was reading food labels before reading food labels was cool! My continuing fitness education has given me a wealth of knowledge about how the foods we eat and the lifestyle choices we make can either cause or prevent all kinds of disorders.
The importance of preventative life habits hit even closer to home for me when my dad passed away. I learned that genetics is only part of the mix that determines our physical condition and longevity; the rest is up to our daily habits. We have a lot of power to influence our own health and happiness – as long as we know what choices and changes we need to make. That's my passion: not only to enjoy many more happy years with my loved ones but to help you do the same.
